What a treat to visit the Nyanya Pre-school today! It has come a long, long way since last year, with the classrooms painted, the play center established in the back yard, and 2 new toilets added. PLUS the sewing center...10 beautiful new sewing machines available for people to use for a weekly fee, a way of raising money to help the pre-
school become financially self-sufficient.

The children look wonderful in their uniforms, but even more, they look healthy and happy, eager to show off their knowledge and sing a song for us....and to crowd around for pictures!!! (just like kids everywhere.) Elizabeth, the teacher, was her usual warm, wonderful, welcoming self, urging us to return often during our time in Kenya.
Then it was off to the Nairobi National Park Rescue Center to see animals rescued from dangerous situations in the wild.

Saw something totally unique...a zebra/donkey offspring. Note the striped legs...some stripes on the abdomen as well. And now, dear ones, it is nearing dinner time here at the Wildebeest...7p.m. And shortly after that, I'll be heading to bed, perchance to dream, for another full day lies ahead tomorrow. love, linda
